Relocating Australia’s coldest town
to inspire all Aussies to book a winter escape.

Winter is the slowest time of year for Accor Hotels. It's cold, it's rainy and people don't want to leave the house. We were tasked with inspiring Australians to get out of hibernation and travel more during winter. So, on the eve of Winter, we went to Waratah, Australia's coldest town, and announced live on Sunrise that we were giving every single Waratahnian a 'Wintervention'. Those who were prepared to leave immediately boarded a private jet and flew to the Gold Coast for a weekend in the sun.
